I never gave up!

I just hit my 78th birthday and as long as I can remember I always did some type of fitness exercise.

I played high school and for a short time college basketball. When I was in my early 30s I took up competitive volleyball and played until I was 75. I played in National Senior Games, Huntsman Games, and USA Volleyball National tournaments.

When my knees hampered my play, I went to working out at the gym. I work out 7 days a week alternating between weight training one day and cardio the next. For weights I use dumbbells and machines.

For cardio I use a stationary bike, rowing machine, treadmill, and walking outside and swimming laps. I do cardio for at least one hour and stretch after on all days. About work done on weight training days: I really look forward to these days and don't overdue anything.

Incidentally, I am a type two diabetic, and have atrial fibrillation. In addition to medications for the above, I also take HBP and cholesterol meds to support my type 2. Lastly, I play pickle ball several times a month.
